About Us
Post completion of their education in the state, a large number of youth (12th pass, ITIs in various trades, diploma holders, degree and
post graduate youth) ready to absorb in the industry in search of jobs or to start a new business face difficulties because of the sheer
lack of business and job related experience. At present, although there are large employment opportunities available in many industrial
sectors of the state, due to the lack of links between these industries and unemployed youth, it is being pointed out that it is difficult
for the youth to get full-time employment after education.
Through this scheme, trainees receive hands-on training to enhance their skills and employability, while employers gain access to the
manpower needed for their industry. The scheme aims to provide six-month internships and monthly stipends to educated unemployed youth
in the State for a duration of six months. Training seekers and employers are connected through the department's website. Participants are
provided a monthly stipend of ₹6,000, ₹8,000 & ₹10,000, based on their qualifications through DBT. It is expected that approximately 10 lakh
internship opportunities would be made available annually.
